A thing of beauty is a joy for ever.
John Keats
Tulips are my favourite flower! I love their brilliant colours and how their graceful petals reach for the sky as if in embrace. Tulips herald spring.
And so, I was most fortunate to find myself in the midst of a spectacular abundance of tulips in a visit to the Keukenhof Gardens in the Netherlands last month. I was astonished! Trees, blue sky, and tulips galore- what could be better!
Words are inadequate to describe how splendid the gardens were. The photos will give you an idea even though they do not fully the beauty.

Best I could do was this market in Niagara last weekend.
Thank you Audrey! I was enjoying the tulips in High Park this week. Last year they looked like this (see photo). The variety is quite something. This year it looks totally different. I just learned recently that the very large gardens never use the bulbs twice. They dig them up and either throw them away or give them away. That really surprised me! I guess maybe tulups are not that dependable for a return showing. Glad you enjoyed your trip! Peace, Frances
